1 April-31 October 2005. The Orangery Schoenbrunn continues its season of concerts by the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra, singers and dancers. Keeping with local tradition, the concerts feature the most famous works of Viennese composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart und Johann Strauss. The Orangery Schoenbrunn is one of the largest buildings of its kind and now provides an even more stunning setting for the concerts following its recent renovation. Some concerts take place in the Great Gallery, a magnificent hall with high windows and enormous mirror-panelled walls rich in stucco. Among the musical delights on this years programme are select pieces from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute, as well as waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss. Two opera singers, a soprano, a baritone and ballet-dancers in authentic costumes are accompanying the orchestra. Tickets cost 39, 48 and 55. 20.30-22.30. Admission at 19.30.
