7 Feb-30 April. The art of Sheila Hicks tends to defy categorisation. Since the late 1950s she had created works incorporating wool, linen and cotton, fusing elements of modernist design and ancient textile practices of pre-Colombian America. Folded, woven, embroidered, knotted and braided, her works are both sculptural and spatial. The Lignes de vie (Life Lines) exhibition brings together pieces representating the entire career of the American artist who has been based in Paris for more than 50 years.
11.00-21.00. Tues closed.
