11 Nov 2006-14 Jan 2007. An exhibition of travel and fashion photographs by East German photographer Sibylle Bergemann is on show in Halle 3 at the Akademie der Knste Hanseatenweg. Originally famous for her fashion photography, Bergemann has since become a regular photo-journalist for magazines like GEO and Stern, travelling to Africa, America, Nepal, Thailand, Viet Nam, India, Romania, Portugal and Greenland. This exhibition features around 150 of her most interesting works from the past 30 years, including early photos of the legendary Claerchens ballhaus and black-and-white images of Berlin. Bergemann is a founding member of the Berlin Ostkreuz Photo Agency and also teaches at its associated photo school. Admission 3, concessions 1.50. Tues-Sun 11.00-20.00.
