Until 6 March 2010. Combining the artwork of two contemporary artists working in Greenland with early documentary photographs from the museum's collection, 'Songs from the Cold Sea' sheds light on Greenland's climate change. Olaf Otto Becker dramatically depicts the melting of the ice-cap while Tiina Itkonen documents day-to-day life in the world's northernmost inhabited region. Their work is set against the back-drop of William Bradford's landmark 1873 book 'The Arctic Regions' - one of the earliest examples of expedition photography and an important reference point for both Becker and Itkonen.
