Sophie Podolski: Le pays où tout est permis

20 Jan-1 April. WIELS presents the first exhibition ever dedicated to the Belgian artist Sophie Podolski whose short career was marked by sexual liberation and disenchanted youth.

Podolski produced a significant body of graphic works and drawings between 1968 and 1974, as well as poetry and writings, before her suicide at the age of 21.

The WIELS exhibition comprises more than 100 works on paper alongside the original manuscript of her 1972 book Le pays où tout est permis [The Country Where Everything Is Permitted].
