7-8 Jan 2006. As part of the season of concerts on offer at the Auditori music venue, the Orchestra Simfnica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (OBC) presents some of the most popular works in the symphonic repertoire for their Concierto Extraordinario de Navidad. Taking the audience on a voyage through 19th century Russia to modern-day Armenia, the concert features Tchaikovskys Romeo and Juliet and his Polonaise and Waltz from Eugene Oneguin with Borodins Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor, Rimski-Korsakovs Spanish caprice, op.34 and Spartacus by Aram Katchaturian, author of the famous Sabre Dance. The OBC will be conducted by David Gimnez Carreras in the Sala Simfnica of the Auditori. Admission 7 Jan 32-45, 8 Jan 22-32. Performances 7 Jan 19.00, 8 Jan 11.00
