Spring Exhibition

5 March - 25 April. An institution in itself, the Spring Exhibition at the Charlottenborg is one of the highlights of Copenhagen's art calendar.

This year a jury of five Scandinavian art experts has selected over 100 works from 54 international artists to be displayed in what is one of northern Europe's most prestigious open submission exhibitions. Held annually at the Charlottenborg since 1857, the work exhibited falls under the general umbrella of visual art, and includes architecture, crafts, video and design. Submissions from artists of all nationalities are welcome and, once selected, the artists often find themselves pushing an open door into the higher end of the contemporary art establishment.
