14 May-15 October. This summer Kew Gardens offers its visitors a range of enjoyable, educational and exotic experiences. Regions and landscapes represented in its displays include the Alps, east Asia, the Mediterranean, Australia; there are even Californian redwoods.
Over the summer the gardens are staging a series of concerts and exhibitions including "Hard Rain: What'll you do now" photography show and "Plants in Peril" in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art, which presents illustrations of endangered plants from over 30 countries worldwide. Kew Gardens is 16km from central London and adjacent to the river Thames.
