19-25 April 2006. The Teatro Real hosts the English National Ballets acclaimed production of Tchaikovskys Swan Lake choreographed by Derek Deane based on Frederick Ashton. This production sets the story of Prince Seigfrieds fateful encounter with the dual figure of the Swan Maiden, Odette/Odile, in a dream-like world of dark lakesides, Gothic gardens and imposing throne rooms. Designed by Peter Farmer with musical direction by Martin West. Admission: opening night 110-3.60, other nights 95-3. Performances at 20.00 on 19, 20, 21, 24 and 25 April, 18.00 on 23 April.
