Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize
The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize is an annual open competition which selects the 60 best contemporary portrait photographs out of thousands submitted from all over the world.
This year's top prize of £12,000 goes to Spencer Murphy whose winning image features Irish jockey Katie Walsh, her face spattered with mud.
Other highlights include Jill Edelstein's portrait of a Nazi war criminal’s aged son; Paul Wenham-Clarke’s "Cindy & Shirley" featuring two fully made-up ten-year-old Irish Traveller girls; and a shot of Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius in court, by Antoine de Ras.
The show includes editorial, advertising and fine art images, exploring a wide range of themes and styles.
