9 - 12 July 2009. Temple Bar offers a fun-for-all-the-family event in the form of a giant four day street circus. International street performers flock to join their Irish counterparts in this transformation of the city's cultural quarter. Acrobats, contortionists, aerial shows, movies and music flood the cobblestoned streets. There is also a 'Magical Cruise' down the river Liffey.

Described by some as Ireland's answer to London's Covent Garden, Temple Bar is a bohemian neighbourhood in central Dublin. The area was regenerated in the early 1990s after it came dangerously close to being demolished in its entirety to make way for a bus depot. The Irish prime minister intervened in the matter and the rest is history.

All circus events are free, however some require collection of tickets or advance booking. For further information consult www.templebar.ie
