The Art of Fashion: Installing Allusions

19 September - 19 December 2009. This fashion exhibition features five top international designers and examines the ever-growing link between high fashion and visual art. There is a long standing tradition of both art forms borrowing greatly from each other, as well as being complimentary influences; these days the borders separating the art world from the fashion world have never been as blurred.

Fashion houses who have produced specially commissioned work for the show include Viktor & Rolf, Hussein Chalayan, Walter van Beirendonck, Anna Nicole Ziesche and Naomi Filmer. The show also features work by Bless, Dai Rees, Jana Bartak, Martin Margiela and Comme des Gar
