The Beauty Queen of Leenane

11 May-4 June. Set in the mountains in the west of Ireland, the story of this play revolves around a lonely spinster called Maureen and her demanding and manipulative elderly mother Mag.

Maureen longs for a romance that will spirit her away from Leenane, but if she leaves, who will take care of Mag? This black comedy comes from a collection of other dark tales, such as the movie "In Bruges", by the Oscar-winning writer Martin McDonagh.

Directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, the play stars Rosaleen Linehan as Mag, Derbhle Crotty as Maureen, Frank Laverty as Pato Dooley and Johnny Ward as Ray Dooley.
