15-23 Dec 2005. Amsterdams CREA Theatre hosts the Queens English Theatre Company with their Broadway-style production of Ken Hills The Curse of the Werewolf. The story is set in an old German castle in Walpurgisdorf the year is 1930. After having had to abandon their skiing holiday in France, the Bancroft family decide to visit Dr Bancrofts old friend, Professor Steiner, whose creepy castle in Germany turns out to have werewolves in the woodwork. Horror and camp comedy combine with some original musical numbers to create the QETCs first musical thriller. The company was founded in 2002 by a group of gay men who recognised the need for English language theatre in Amsterdam. It is now the Dutch capitals top theatre company performing in English. Previous productions include comedies by Alan Bennett and Alan Ayckbourn. The Curse of the Werewolf is suitable for all the family.
