The Face of Courage: Portraits of the British at War, 1940-45
8 June-31 Dec. The Royal Air Force Museum presents an exhibition of portraits by war artist Eric Kennington of British soldiers from world war two, the first exhibition to focus specifically on his portraits from that war.
Invalided out of world war one, Kennington's artistic talents were soon put to use by the army and he became one of a handful who served Britain as official war artists during both world wars.
The portraits contained in the exhibition, which re-evaluates Kennington
