The Father

14 Sept-22 Oct. The Gate Theatre presents The Father by Florian Zeller in a translation by Christopher Hampton. The story, a compelling black comedy, centres around the mental faculties of Andre.

Is he a former dancer or a retired engineer, and does his daughter Anne live with him or is she just visiting? The Father (Le Père) earned Zeller the 2014 Moliere Award for Best Play.

Directed by Ethan McSweeny, the cast includes Peter Gaynor, Charlotte McCurry, Simon O'Gorman, Sophie Robinson and Owen Roe.
