Born in the American South, raised on a diet of blues, country and gospel, Charles managed create a style of his own from these distinct forms of traditional, rural American music blending them with the contemporary sounds and rhythms of jazz and big band. The Genius of Ray Charles is a musical celebration of the singer and pianists life and music. The musical is a US production featuring the original American cast of singers, dancers and musicians performing the great mans biggest hits like 'Hit The Road Jack', 'Georgia On My Mind', and 'Unchain My Heart'.
