22 Nov 2005-7 Jan 2006. Marking the bicentenary of Hans Christian Andersens birth, Creation Theatre Company presents The Snow Queen, a fairytale in seven stories by the world-famous Danish writer. Love triumphs over evil in a snow-filled world of hobgoblins, distorting mirrors and talking animals, as Gerda overcomes all obstacles to rescue her friend Kay from the freezing clutches of the Snow Queen, who has turned his heart to ice. Directed by Charlotte Conquest, this production adds song, dance and circus skills to the legendary tale. The Snow Queen is to be performed in the new space in the Info Centre at the BMW Group Plant in Oxford, which will also be hosting the Creations winter production of King Lear. Drinks and sweet and savoury crpes are available at the venue before the show. A Premium Package offer includes best available seats, a complimentary pre-show drink, a Christmas cracker and a free programme and poster. Admission 26.50-8.50. For performance times see the website. No performance 25 Dec or 1 Jan.
