Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition
19 December 2009 - 30 April 2010. Dublin's Citywest Event Centre is the stage for a familiar but compelling tale of tragedy: the sinking of the Titanic. The exhibition, already been seen by 22 million people worldwide, tells the story of those who perished and of those few who survived, through recreated cabins identical to the original rooms aboard the ship. What brings the story to life however is the inclusion of more than 300 genuine artefacts recovered from the wreckage. The more personal items include a top hat, a perfume case, a pair of glasses and various tea cups, as well as the Titanic's bell, the stand from its steering wheel and a section of the hull.
