8 July-3 Sept 2006. Twenty-one puppet companies from around the world are performing in the 13th edition of Madrids Fiesta del Ttere in the Parque del Ritiro. Puppet shows for young and old are on offer at the Teatro de Tteres, with this years special guest company, the acclaimed Puppet Theatre of Varna from Bulgaria, presenting Los tres cerditos for children (23 July), Amor, delicias y oro for adults (4 Aug) and Ztiatka, la nia de oro in a version for children (25 & 26 Aug) and adults (26 Aug at 22.00). Other highlights include El caballero sin caballo from Argentina (22 July), the Spanish Edu Borja company with Quijote vive! for adults (11 Aug) and Un hombre en un pais de muecos, a Serbo-Spanish co-production (2 Sept). Admission free. Performances Fri-Sun at 19.30 & 22.00.
