28 March-10 June 2006. Mike Leighs acclaimed play Two Thousand Years returns to the Nationals Lyttelton Theatre following a sell-out run at the Cottesloe and a UK tour. Better known in recent times for his award-winning films Secrets and Lies and Vera Drake, this is Leighs first stage play in over ten years. Described by The Times as ..amusing, touching and wise, the play explores the themes of politics, religion, identity and the thorny issues at the heart of the Palestine-Israeli conflict.
