17 June-19 July 2008. The Galerie Peithner-Lichtenfels displays recent works of Urban Grűnfelder. On show are three of his new clay sculptures as well as some of his paintings. His new creations are rigid, symmetric doll-like human bodies with simple forms covered with brilliant varnish of monochrome colours, like red, which is reminiscent wounds, green, which recalls poison and yellow, which symbolises evil. His caricatures have an abstract aspect, unrecognisable features and always lack of any form of individuality. The bodies, which twist into grotesque poses, are reduced to simple colour concentrations. His sculptures are complex and hide metaphors about human condition.
