9 Oct 2009-3 Jan 2010. Alongside correspondence between Vincent Van Gogh and his brother Theo, the Van Gogh Museum displays key art works mentioned in their letters. The culmination of 15 years of research, the museum presents a valuable triptych which includes this exhibition, an illustrious six-volume book and a scholarly website all devoted to the artist's writings. The now fragile letters, many decorated with sketches, are very rarely on display. Coinciding with the exhibition opening comes the launch of 'Vincent Van Gogh - The Letters' containing 900 letters relating to the life and work of Van Gogh.
