14 August 2005. Move over skateboarders! If you have not heard of it already, "Freestyle Parkour" is the latest urban trend and involves gravity-defying leaps and risk-taking falls among the steel and concrete contours of the city. The underground car park on Islington's City Road will host a adrenalin charged three-hour display that has featured recently on the British TV channel, Channel 4's programmes Jump London and Jump Britain. Originating in France where bored inner city kids attempted to emulate the antics of comic book antihero Spiderman by jumping from buildings without a safety net. If you know little about Parkour and even want to try it out for yourselves (protective clothing is on hand) then this event is for you. The main event is accompanied by the obligatory drum & bass DJ, Peshay and film from Roll Deep. Entry is ultra exclusive, restricted to 300 lucky ticketholders and you need to apply online at the Vauxhall Tribe website yesterday if you hope to attend. Do it now! Open 18.00-21.00.
