Exhibition exploring the common ground between fashion photography and painting, through a selection of images from the archive of leading fashion magazine Vogue.
Each exhibited photograph contains at least one aspect commonly employed by painters: devices such as chiaroscuro, compositional schemes, and great attention to the models' poses and the background décor.
The 70 images on display are by 20th-century photographers, many of them celebrated figures such as Mario Testino and Irving Penn, whose work often alludes to paintings by artists including Dalì, Gauguin, Hogarth, Hopper, Magritte, Millais, Sargent and Zurbarán.
Tues-Sun 10.00-19.00.
