07 April-19 July 2009. Photos and paintings of Italy in the decades from the 1840s to the unification of the nation. Early photos are displayed alongside paintings of the same view, but then photographers began to explore subjects other than the traditional landscapes. Italians and their life on the streets, particularly in Naples, become the protagonists of these early photographers, as well as the fight for the unification of Italy in the middle of the 19th century.
