8 April-16 October. This series of exhibitions at the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History features imagery by contemporary photographer Virginie Cornet displayed alongside toys from the world war one period, revealing how children were absorbed by the conflict through the imaginary world of play and games.

With the approaching centennial of the Great War in mind the museum offers a series of responses based on Cornet's photographic work, while other contemporary artists present their visual interpretations of history; the combined result is aimed at encouraging visitors to reflect on the momentous happenings of 1914-1918, especially through the eyes of a war-time child.
