16 Feb-29 July. For the first time the private collection of Austrian billionaire Heidi Horten is shown in public, in an exhibition comprising 150 works and spanning 100 years of art history. The show is centred around works by Gustav Klimt but also includes groups of paintings dedicated to German Expressionism and American Pop Art. form the largest groups of works. The exhibition features works by artists such as Chagall, Kirchner, Klee, Macke, Marc, Matisse, Miró and Munch.
With an estimated wealth of $2.6 billion, Horten is the widow of businessman Helmut Horten, the founder of the German department store business Horten AG, who died in 2015.
